Andy Charles
President and Chief Executive Officer

With more than 20 years of financial services experience, Andy Charles has a solid track record in building effective organizations from the ground up. As a former CIBC executive, Charles led two mortgage business units. As HLC Home Loans Canada’s president, he grew the mortgage brokerage division to more than 585 mortgage specialists across the country. Additionally, Charles had leadership responsibility for developing the President’s Choice Financial mortgage business.

Mario Vachon
Chief Risk Officer

With more than 15 years of mortgage industry experience, Mario Vachon has held senior-level positions with RBC Royal Bank and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in the areas of product management, risk, treasury, and securitization. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Montreal and a graduate degree in management from Les Hautes Etudes Commercial (HEC).

Brian Bell
Vice President, Corporate Development

Brian Bell previously worked for Brascan Financial, where he was responsible for sales leadership, marketing, and product development responsibilities. With more than 12 years of mortgage industry experience, Bell also held management positions with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and Bank of Montreal. He holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a master’s degree in Real Estate & Urban Planning from Queen’s University.

Maria Pimenta
Vice President of Sales

Maria Pimenta brings 20 years’ financial services experience to the team. Most recently, Maria managed the specialized sales forces for RBC Royal Bank where she oversaw strategic planning, training, analysis, and program development for the specialized sales forces. At RBC, she held various management positions in sales, market planning, and operations. She holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

Geoff Scott
Vice-President, Operations

Geoff Scott brings over 20 years of Canadian banking experience to the AIG United Guaranty team. Starting in retail branches at Canada Trust, then moving to e-commerce at Bank of Montreal and mortgage banking at CIBC, he has contributed to every aspect of retail credit. Scott has led successful mortgage approval teams in Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto. A former underwriting workflow software developer, Scott is focused on delivering superior service to his customers.

Mauro Rotondi
Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

With over 10 years of AIG Commercial Property and Casualty experience, Mauro Rotondi brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the team. Having begun his AIG career in Risk Management - Claims Accounting, followed by his role as Regional Financial Analyst, Mauro was an integral member of the executive team and responsible for analyzing and forecasting AIG member company results. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a minor in Finance from Ryerson University.
